Review : Peter Thomas Roth 24K Gold Mask

mood: random
song: maikaze

When I saw this was one of the five mask in the Mask-A-Holic Kit i was SUPER excited to try it out! This mask is truly luxurious with the fact that it contains pure 24k gold and colloidal gold makes it a real treat.
This mask is suppose to help in lifting and plumping the skin as the 24k gold helps to achieve a radiant and glowy skin. The caffeine content in this mask is suppose to helps tightening and firming the appearance of the skin as it is also suppose to reduce the look of fine lines on our skin.
According to the directions, I am suppose to apply a generous amount of layer on my skin and leave it on for 10 minutes.

The texture of the mask is pretty sticky unlike the fresh hydrating gel like mask. As this is a diuretic mask, I would advice you to avoid applying at the problematic areas especially the T-Zone and apply it on the fleshier face areas such as your cheeks, jaw line and down the neck. Besides, these are the areas that would be able to benefit most from the tightening effect.

I noticed my skin were smooth and hydrated after rinsing it away. But I didn't felt any tightening feeling, probably my skin haven't really aged yet?! hahahaha

I guess if you don't need so much of firming or de-puffing, this mask probably won't benefit you that much. If you want to get this mask as a hydrating masks, there are many in the market that cost lesser than this. No doubt you will definitely feel luxurious after the application. :D
In my opinion, I would not recommend this mask to those with oily skin as it might cause breakouts due to the slight oily texture of the mask.
